Nabbed for killing migratory birds

A man who had allegedly killed several migratory birds with a catapult in an abandoned paddy field was arrested by Millaniya police. The suspect had the carcasses of a Siberian stork and several endemic birds at the time of his arrest.

The police said the suspect will be charged under the Fauna and Flora Act. The suspect was nabbed by a police team led by Millaniya Police OIC Priyantha Wijesinghe.
