Super Star Sports Club, Maligaikadu scored a surprise one wicket win over Blue Light Sports Club, Sainthamaruthu, in their clubs 'Family Choice' trophy limited over cricket tournament match played at Sainthamarthu Ashroff United grounds, on Friday.

Blue Light Sports Club batting first were fairly well placed at one stage with Akmal Shifak (43) and Mohamed Saja (37) batting well along with Firnaz Jafran (22) but a late order batting collapse saw them slump to 131 all out in 39.1 overs.

The Super Star chasing a target of 132 did not fare too well at 108 for 9 at one stage against, some good bowling by Al-Afan (4 for 24). But tail-ender Suhath batting with caution enabled them to overhaul their opponents total.

Blue Light 131 all out in 39.1 overs (Akmal Shifak 43, M Saja 37, Firnaz 22).

Super Star 132 for 9 wickets in 41.3 overs (Asfak 28, Gais Mohamed 15, Misroff 10, Rameez 24 n.o.).
