SLRCS to construct 1,000 houses in North

The Sri Lanka Red Cross Society (SLRCS) will construct 2,000 houses in the Northern province spending more than Rs 1,000 million.

Each beneficiary family is to get Rs 350,000 as livelihood support while Rs 30,000 will be provided for the improvement of water and sanitary facilities of each family.

President's Co-ordinating Officer for Parliamentary Affairs Kumarasiri Hettige and Sri Lanka Red Cross Society president Jagath Abeysinghe are expected to inspect the project activities today.
