Lyceum celebrates 10 years of guiding

Lyceum International School Nugegoda celebrated ten years of Guiding
on June 1, 2011. To mark the occasion several guides were enrolled on
that day while some were awarded the Second Class badge and the senior
guides had the investiture ceremony.

In 2001 the successful journey of guiding at Lyceum started with 15
girls under the guidance of Mohan Lal Grero, Founder of Lyceum
International School. A large number of teachers, parents and well
wishers participated, int the ceremony on June 1, 2011. The Chief Guest
was Dr Vajira Wanigasuriya the Zonal Commissioner.
Jayanthi Tilekeratne Former District Commissioner, Harshani Perera,
Secretary Western Province Guiding and Hyacinth Dissanayake officiated
the ceremony. Also the Principal Wenuri Hettiarachchi, Deputy
Principals, Director of Sports and Sports Coordinators too participated. |
