MARKSS partners LRH

MARKSS Healthcare, one of the fastest growing pharmaceutical companies in Sri Lanka partnered with the OPD of the Lady Ridgeway Hospital (LRH) and organized a thematic discussion on frequently found disease conditions among neonates. Thirty five doctors participated in this event which focused on the experiences the medical officers of the LRH OPD.

The discussion was based on a list of common complaints encountered regarding the neonate.

The forum was led by Dr Anoma Resident Paediatrician of Lady Ridgeway Hospital Colombo and included discussions on a range of disease conditions.

Lady Ridgeway Hospital Chief Medical Officer Dr. Savithri Kallapatha commended MARKSS for supporting her team in their efforts to sustain a high level of services as one of the best children’s hospitals in Asia, through conducting informative discussions to increase awareness amongst medical practitioners.

One of the key points discussed at the forum was the feeding difficulties and breast feeding failures due to mother’s anxiety.

MARKSS HLC Medical Director Dr. S. Mahakalanda said, “Our continuous efforts in creating medical awareness will form a cornerstone of quality healthcare in Sri Lanka one day.”
