Three blue chips list employee shares

Three premier blue chip corporates - John Keells Holdings, Commercial
Bank and DFCC Bank have listed shares they have gifted their employees
worth Rs 154.8 million under the Employee Share Ownership Plans of their
respective corporates.
The number of shares, which they have given in the names of their
employees and listed on the floor of the Colombo Stock Exchange have
been- John Keells Holdings -336,060 shares, Commercial Bank- 274,947
shares and DFCC Bank - 100,586 shares.
The value at the market rates of these shares at the current market
rates will be John Keells Holdings at the rate of Rs 207 at Rs
69,564,420 (Rs 69.5 million), while the Commercial Bank stake, at the
rate of Rs 260 will be worth Rs 71,486,220 (Rs 71.4 million) while the
DFCC Bank stake at Rs 137 will be worth Rs 13,780,282 (Rs 13.7 million)
which aggregated to Rs 154,832,922 million.
The total capital of the three corporates amount to JKH- 24.6 billion
shares, while DFCC Bank shares are 2.6 billion while Com Bank has 11.6
billion shares.
These are the number of shares that have been gifted to employees and
they have been listed on the floor of the Colombo Stock Exchange as a
formality, CSE Listing Manager Priyana Gunasekera told Daily News
