Trade Finance Association of Bankers new council

The Trade Finance Association of Bankers elected the new Council for 2011/2012. at its 14th Annual General Meeting recently.

Following are the office-bearers: President - N U Jumat Assistant General Manager - Trade Services at Hatton National Bank PLC, Senior Vice President Jayantha Newunhella Assistant General Manager - Trade Services, People’s Bank.

People’s Bank fetes employees

The People’s Bank felicitated outstanding performances of the Western Zone II on June 5 at the Jana Kala Kendra, Battaramulla.

Homagama branch in Colombo Outer Region won eight awards in the deposit mobilization and performing advances categories. Manager Sunil Ratnayake and his team showed outstanding performance.

Seven awards were given to managers of the Neboda and Panadura branches in Kalutara region for their regional performance.

Maharagama Branch Manager Chandrani Bogoda was awarded the best branch islandwide in Vanitha Wasana Deposit Mobilization Campaign.

The People’s Bank Chairman W Karunajeewa was the chief guest at the award ceremony.
