Govt to build industrial country

‘The government is planing to build an industrialized country through science and technology research, said Technology and Research Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi.

She was participating at the inaugural ceremony of Inco-2011 Industrial and Trade Exhibition recently. The exhibition was organized by the Sri Lanka Incorporated Engineering Institution.

”The time has come to commence many industries in the country. Many art and literature creations throughout the country have been affected due to the three decade conflict. Sri Lanka is ready to resume many industries,” she said.

”The government’s target is to review and develop industries in the country. The government considers this as a national policy,” the minister said.
