LG polls:
Complaints Centre in operation
An Elections Complaints Centre is in operation
from June 20 to take prompt action with regard to complaints
received from political parties, independent groups, candidates,
civil organizations and the public in relation to the local councils
election scheduled for July 23.

UPF pledges support to govt
The Upcountry People’s Front pledged their
fullest support to the government and President Mahinda Rajapaksa
following a meeting with the President at Temple Trees yesterday.
Upcountry People’s Front leader Chandani Chandrasekaran and party
members met the President and appreciated the continuous support
given by the government under President Rajapaksa’s leadership to
the people in the country.
