UPF pledges support to govt

The Upcountry People’s Front pledged their fullest support to the
government and President Mahinda Rajapaksa following a meeting with the
President at Temple Trees yesterday.
Upcountry People’s Front leader Chandani Chandrasekaran and party
members met the President and appreciated the continuous support given
by the government under President Rajapaksa’s leadership to the people
in the country.
“The President is very keen to develop the upcountry region and look
after the welfare facilities of the people,” she said.
“Therefore, as an appreciation of the service rendered by the
President for the upcountry region and its people, the party took this
decision,” she pointed out.
Meanwhile, Parliamentarian V.S. Radhakrishnan said that all the
ministers elected under the Upcountry People’s Front ticket will support
the President and UPFA government together with the members. |
