Trade unionist nabbed with narcotics

A former UNP trade union leader resident in Matale, was arrested by the Alawathugoda police in Alawathugoda, for being in procession of 10 grammes of narcotics.

Police investigations revealed that he had once served as an Assistant Secretary of the JSS. He had been the distributing agent for narcotics in the Matale area for sometime.

Further investigations are continuing.
