Approves new rules to broad-base share ownership:

The Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC) decided to facilitate a fair allocation of shares to retail individual investors and licensed Sri Lankan unit trusts during Initial Public Offerings (IPOs), a SEC press release said yesterday.

Minister Basil meets German delegation : Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa met Hamburg City Economic Affairs Senator Ian Karan and Parliament Member J. Klimke yesterday at the Presidential Secretariat. They are on an official visit to Sri Lanka to ascertain post-conflict progress in Sri Lanka with a view to bringing a German Trade Mission to Sri Lanka.
