Nalaka to coach Kingswood

Former Sri Lanka, CR and FC and Kandy Sports ruggerite Nalaka Weerakkody will coach Kingswood College, Kandy during the forthcoming inter school rugby season.

An outstanding ruggerite produced by Kingswood College who played as stand off and full back. He was renowned for his prowess for place kicking and executing drop goals from any angle which has often flustered the opponents.

He hung his boots three years after serving Kandy SC and Sri Lanka rugby well. He retired when he was at his peak and said that when the time is ripe one must go. He now plays soccer for two clubs in Kandy in the 'A' Division tournaments.

His wealth of experience in the field of rugby is going to be an asset to Kingswood's rugby and they should perform well.
