'EZY Racing' lap top launched
Emerging computer manufacturer EZY, who created ripples in the
computer industry by revolutionizing the general perception of your
everyday PC with their innovative range of computers, introduced the
very first EZY Racing limited edition laptop to the local market on
Monday, March 7, to commemorate EZY Racing's prowess on the racing
field.
EZY Racing (ER), which is the racing brand of EZY Motor Racing
Corporation (EMRC), a fully owned subsidiary of computer giants EZY
Holdings, have emerged to be Sri Lanka's leading racing team in the
country within just two years.
This special edition laptop (of which only 500 numbers have been
manufactured) was launched on March 7 by presenting the first machine to
EZY racer Shafraz Junaid, the 2010 Rally Championship winner.
"We have launched the EZY Racing limited edition laptop as a tribute
to our winning rally championship team," said Hamzadeen. "2010 was a
very successful year for EMRC."
We were not only successful in winning the Team Rally Championship,
but we also managed to win the Driver's Championship for the second
successive year. This limited edition laptop is our tribute to the
dedication and commitment shown by our team and our drivers, whilst we
hope that IT connoisseurs as well as motor enthusiasts will appreciate
this product."
The first of these series of laptops is the ER 3 laptop (named in
recognition of the 2010 Drivers Championship winner Shafraz Junaid and
his car). EZY intend.s on launching the ER 6 laptop, named in honour of
the 2010 Foxhill Super Cross winner Sajaad Zuhair, and the ER 9 laptop,
named after the 2009 Rally Champion Rizvi Farouk.
The ER3 laptop which is a mere 10 inches, making it ultra-portable,
is powered by an Intel N450 motherboard with a 1.66 Ghz processor.
The ER3 provides its users with extra memory by way of a 2GB memory
card and a 250GB hard drive and comes packed with a bluetooth, wireless,
an external card reader, as well as a 1.3MP camera. "Its premium look
coupled with the premium packaging makes ER3 the most sought after
laptop currently avaialable in the market," said Hamzadeen.
An exclusive launch targeting all motor enthusiasts will take place
in the Kandy Town on Thursday, March 10, where the first 50 customers to
purchase an EZY Racing limited edition laptop, will be presented with a
special merchandise kit, including driver's wear, worth Rs 5,000, free
of charge.
"This is to coincide with the Kandy Road Races that will be held on
March 11 and 12, which incidentally will be ER's first event as reigning
champions."
Hamzadeen and the EZY Motor Racing Corporation will also take this
opportunity to launch the EZY Racing (ER) Club where an exclusive
warranty card would be issued as a membership card for all ER events.
Hamzadeen sees motor racing as a thriving business, hence his
decision to establish the EZY Motor Racing Corporation. He said that his
organization would strive to attract quality drivers and provide them
with the best of resources to enable them to concentrate on just one
thing... to win.
"As with our existing business, in this instance too we intend
delivering maximum value to our partners. As far as drivers are
concerned the value for them would be the best resources, the best car,
the best team and therefore the best result."
The EZY Motor Racing Corporation plans on raising
partnership/sponsorship packages to the value of Rs 30 million in the
course of this year alone. "As part of our corporate vision, we aspire
to raise Rs 100 million for racing by 2015," said Hamzadeen.
The EZY Motor Racing Corporation have a 5 year plan in place. "By the
fifth year we will take Sri Lankan racing to the international tracks.
This is our promise and we intend to make it a reality.
