UNP candidate pledges support to UPFA

United National Party candidate for the Kadugannawa Urban Council Wilbert Gunaratne who met President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the Kandy district election rally yesterday pledged his support to the UPFA at the LG polls. This has increased the number of UNP candidates who support the UPFA at the LG polls to 27.

President Mahinda Rajapaksa who addressed those present yesterday, said that the UNP and JVP candidates even after the election would support the UPFA and what happened to the Opposition after the Parliamentary elections will happen to the Oppositions of local bodies after the LG polls.
