Student drowns in school swimming pool

A seven-year-old student of an international school in Polgolla drowned while receiving swimming lessons in the schools's swimming pool.

This incident took place yesterday evening.

The student was said to have drowned while receiving swimming lessons from a trainer in the school swimming pool. The dead child is Ravindu Pasan Sandeepa (7) of Menikhinna.

The Katugastota Police are investigating.
