Government to renovate over 100 schools

The Government will renovate 100 schools devastated by terrorist atrocities with Nippon Foundation in Japan financial assistance.

The schools in the province which need urgent renovation and repair would be given priority on the recommendation of the Northern Provincial Secretary and Zonal Education Directors in the Province.

According to Economic Development Ministry Sources the agreement in this regard was signed by Northern Province Education Ministry Secretary S. Illangakoon and Shuichi One on behalf of the Nippon Foundation and the Government of Sri Lanka.

Sewa Lanka Foundation will implement the project under the close supervision of the Economic Development Ministry.
