Bolivian aid to Venezuela
Bolivia: The Bolivian President Evo Morales travelled yesterday to
Venezuela with more humanitarian aid for victims of the heavy rains
registered in November, according to the Bolivian News Agency.
The humanitarian aid has this time 50 tons of rice. Bolivia has
already sent mattresses, milk, drinkable water and other products.
Morales met his peer Hugo Chavez in Venezuela, and they both visited
several shelters for the victims of the rains which caused at least 30
deaths.
Morales said the humanitarian aid is an act of solidarity and
recalled that Bolivia also received the cooperation of Venezuelan
Government.
For his part, the official spokesman Ivan Canelas said in press
conference that Venezuela has always collaborated with and supported
Bolivia and his country wants to return this cooperation Bolivians have
received from Venezuelans.
Morales’ last visit to Venezuela maens expressing of solidarity to
the victims of the overflowing of the rivers in the south part of the
Maracaibo Lake, said Canelas.
