SLC distributes cricket materials to schools
SLC Cricket in its commitment to develop School cricket this year,
have under one of its initiatives provided cricket balls for Junior and
Senior cricket schools participating in the Under 13, Under 15 and Under
17 schools tournaments during the 2010/11 Schools Tournaments.
It has already provided a total of 6700 cricket balls for the year
2010, [Junior - 5100 balls and Senior balls 1600].
In keeping with the SLC policy of assistance to schools it will once
again provide 186 schools participating in the Under 19 Division 1,
Division 2 and Division 3 school teams with further 1820 senior cricket
balls for the Under 19 Schools cricket season 2011.
32 Division I School Teams from the Colombo District, Galle District,
Kurunegala District, Kalutara District, Gampaha District, Matara
District, District.
36 Division II School Teams from the Colombo District, Kurunegala
District, Galle District, Puttalam District, Gampaha District, Kalutara
District, Matale District, Kegalle District, Matara District.
118 Division III School Teams from the Colombo District, Gampaha
District, Kandy District, Matale District, Nuwara Eliya District,
Badulla District, Kalutara District, Ratnapura District, Kurunegala
District, Puttalam District, Galle District, Jaffna District, Ampara
District, Polonnaruwa District, Trincomalee District, Anuradhapura
District. The Principal/Head Master of the Schools participating in the
Division I, II and III Under 19 Tournaments are requested to contact the
Secretary of Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association who have been
entrusted to distribute the senior cricket balls. |
