Gama Neguma Program in Matale

Under the Gama Neguma Program 785 various development projects have been completed successfully within the current year in Matale district spending Rs 2,975 lakhs by the Government.

549 G S Divisions in the district were covered by this development program facilitating over 50,000 families.

Electricity, roads, health and other essential facilities are developed especially in the rural areas according to this program.

The majority of development projects were implemented in Ukuwela DS Division, numbering 58 while 14 such projects were completed in Abanganga Korale DS Division.

Meanwhile the Government hopes to continue this program next year.
