Leasing shows increasing trend
The leasing industry of Sri Lanka showed an increasing trend from
December last year and the industry is confident that the momentum will
continue.
Speaking to Daily News Business Leasing Association of Sri Lanka (LASL)
Chairman Sanjeewa Bandaranayake said the favourable economic environment
benefited the industry commendably. The industry started taking off from
end of 2009 and the trend is positive. The leasing companies
individually have also performed remarkably.
“With the industry performing well we expect that the disbursements
will double in the next year. The budget has focused on a major
development of Sri Lanka and the relaxed taxation have benefited the
industry,” he said.
