Dilma Rousseff congratulated by Heads of State
Brazil: The Presidents of Colombia, France, Portugal, Chile, Mexico,
Venezuela and the US have called Brazilian president-elect Dilma
Rousseff Monday to congratulate her, as confirmed by Aurelio Garcia,
advisor of the Brazilian government.
After the electoral victory of Rousseff Sunday, the Presidents of
Uruguay, El Salvador and Argentina had already called her in the first
hours of Monday.
Garcia said US President Barack Obama spoke to Rousseff Sunday to
congratulate her, wish her good luck in her government and invite her to
Washington.
Garcia said Obama showed great interest in continuing the strategic
projects with the Brazilian government.
Brazilian press media said that the Presidents of Bulgaria -Rousseff
fatherƒ?™s homeland- Russia, Iran and many other countries have already
congratulated her for her electoral victory.
Next week, Rousseff should travel to Mozambique with current
President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, to then go to Seoul, South Korea to
attend the G-20 meeting.
