Nuwara Eliya GC C’ships conclude

A Record number of spectators and competitors turned up at this premier Holiday Resort of Nuwara Eliya to witness the Golf competitions organized by the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club when the club organised Club Championships and the Ladies championships concurrently over the week end.

Amirith de Soysa annexed the Club Championship for 2010, with a nett score of 8/7 with S. Vairavanathan as the Runner up with a score 2 up.

In the Ladies championship the winner was Janaka Fernando while the Runner up was D. Senadeera. The other results: Silver Division Ranjit Perera, Rohan de Perera on the second day.

Browns Division: Janaka Galagoda, Runner up: S. Amith.

Masters Division: Joe Perera.

Overall winner was Nihal Perera.

Ladies Brown Cup: Rohina Johnston and the Runner up was F. de Mel.

The prizes were distributed by the President of the Club and the Captain of the club Umesh de Silva and H. Balendran.
