Royal in command

Royal College, Colombo is sitting pretty at the end of day one against Moratu Vidyalaya in their inter-school under 19 cricket match at Moratuwa.

Royalists batting first scored 243 runs with Supun Subasinghe missing a well-deserved century by seven runs. He faced 178 balls and occupied the crease for 245 minutes and hitting eight fours and associated a fourth wicket partnership of 82 runs with Imal Liyanage who made 46 runs. Janidu Devinda took 5 for 70.

In reply Vidyalians were skittled out for a paltry 73 runs with Harith Samarasinghe doing the damage with 6 for 23.
