Alleged car robbers in police net

The Police Special Operations Unit in Mirihana arrested two suspects Sunday, for allegedly steeling a motor car worth Rs 5.8 million. According to Police the car was stolen at Kaudana in Mount Lavinia on August 07. After the investigations, a group of Police officers led by Police Special Operations Unit, Mirihana OIC IP Janaka Kumara found the car hidden in a place at Embilipitiya.

The Police arrested two suspects who were residents of Kaudana and Kaduwela. The Special Unit handed over the suspects and vehicle to the Mirihana Police for further investigations. Police are also investigating to find whether the suspects had involved in any other vehicle racket.
