Sangha to bless Hambantota Port

A vessel carrying Buddhist monks chanting Seth Pirith will head for
the Hambantota Port from the Galle harbour on November 18.
The Pirith chanting ceremony known as the “Sagara Piritha” is for
conferring the merits of the Gods on President Mahinda Rajapaksa, the
country ,the public and the Hambantota harbour opening.
The opening of the Hambantota harbour will take place at 9 am.
Islandwide pinkamas and poojas to offer religious blessings on the
President on his birthday on November 18 will also be conducted.
The Government has set apart the week from November 15 to 22 to
commemorate the inauguration of the second term of President Mahinda
Rajapaksa.
