President writes to Saudi King
The death sentence that would be carried out on this poor girl is by
beheading. This is barbaric notwithstanding the evidence that shows she
is totally innocent of murder and also that the sentence is disallowed
under Saudi laws which proclaim that anyone under 18 could not be
sentenced thus - she was 17 at the time of the incident. Rizana Nafeek
is innocent on these counts -
* She had no legal representation with a competent interpreter.
* She did not understand the charges.
* The confessions upon which the verdict is based, was signed in Arabic,
a language she neither speaks nor write.
* She was employed as a maid and the duties asked of her to perform
(feeding an infant) was that of a nanny, for which she had no training.
* The negligence of her employers have not been considered. As Muslims,
we owe a great debt of thanks to our President for taking the trouble to
fight for a fellow human being of another race, caste and creed.

Few university students become saboteurs - Minister
It is sad to see that students misbehave when free education is given to
all. This will not be tolerated in most countries. They should
appreciate what the taxpayer provides FREE EDUCATION. Most countries one
has to pay. It's time this is stopped.
