Forum on power plans

The National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka (NCE) will be conducting a forum on power plans under the patronage of the Power and Energy Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka, on November 12 at 4.30 pm at Nawam Mawatha, DHPL Building.

He will address the industry and officials of the Power and Energy Ministry and will make a presentation on the Government’s initiative to develop a sustainable power plan for the country. The presentation will discuss short term, medium term and long term electricity solutions, where the Ministry plans to supply power to all by 2012.

The industry can get to know about new tariff structures, alternative energy plans and other methods the Government plans to introduce to different sectors to support economic growth.

This forum will give the opportunity to exporters, industrialists and other businesses to understand and plan their future as power will be a key element in attracting viable investments as well as maintaining competitiveness.
