Hambantota District MP Namal Rajapaksa and President Tharunyata Hetak organisation along with the Northern Province Governor Maj Gen G A Chandrasiri visited Mulaithivu and paid visit to the schools in the area. They visited Oddushudan MV and Muthayankaddu A M School and presented books, school bags and various other stationeries to the students.

He also opened computer laboratory at Muthayankaddu A M School. At Kilinochchi he went round the town and inspected the large water tank that lay blown up by the LTTE.

He had discussion with the Water Supply and Drainage authorities regarding the reconstruction of the water tank. Later he participated in the Girl Guides day at Kilinochchi St Theresa school.

Rajapaksa visited Kilinochchi MV and presented educational material and furniture to the principal. He also visited Otupulam A M school and Kanagapuram MV and presented science equipment and books.
