Former UC Vice Chairman arrested

The Central Province Terrorist Investigation Division (TID) has arrested a former Vice Chairman of the Talawakelle Urban Council allegedly for aiding and abetting LTTE terrorist activities. Police have received information that the suspect had taken estate youth for arms training in the North and has assisted the LTTE in transporting explosives to the estates.
