Holy Eucharist, A great mystery
Since August 2010 to August 2011 has been declared as the year of the
Holy Eucharist in the Archdiocese of Colombo by His Grace the
Archbishop, Most Rev Dr Malcolm Ranjith, I thought of sharing some
enriching information I gathered about the Holy Eucharist with our
readers.
As we all know Padre Pio (now St Pio of Pietrelcina) bore the wounds
of our Lord Jesus Christ for fifty long years. During the last months of
his life, the only sustenance and support he had was the Holy Eucharist.
He no longer ate anything. Holy Communion for him was life. He once
said, "My mouth tasted all the sweetness of the Immaculate Flesh of the
Son of God. How happy Jesus Makes me!...... I can do nothing but weep
and repeat Jesus my food! Jesus my food!......"
He also said, "The world could go on even without the sun, but it
cannot go on without the Holy Mass."
"Fly in spirit to the Tabernacle, when you cannot go there in body
and there, express your ardent desires. Speak to, pray to and embrace
the Beloved of souls, more than if you had been able to receive Him,
Sacramentally."

"Padre Pio and the Eucharist" - Published for the year of the
Eucharist 2004-2005
Eversince I read a booklet entitled "Live..... The Holy Mass"- the
Testimony of Catalina Rivas (as dictated by Lord Jesus and Mother Mary
on the celebration of the Holy Eucharist), the Holy Mass has become more
meaningful than before, now I cherish and enjoy every minute of this
great Miracle.
Words of the Virgin Mary on "The Holy Mass"
* "....... during no apparition, nor in any other place am I present
longer than at the Holy Mass you will always find me at the foot of the
Altar where the Eucharist is celebrated."
* Why must you all arrive at the last moment? This is the greatest of
all Miracles."
At the offertory
"This is the moment in which your Guardian Angel carries your
offerings and petitions before the Altar of the Lord."
At the consecration
"It seems strange to you seeing me a little behind Monsignor, does it
not? This is how it should be....... Notwithstanding how much my son
loves me, He has not given me the dignity that he gives a priest, of
being able to bring My Son in my hands daily, as the priestly hands do.
Because of this I feel such profound respect for a priest and for the
whole miracle that God carries out through a priest, that I am compelled
to kneel here."
* When the priest raised the sacred host, by instinct Catalina was
about to bow her head and Our Lady said, Do not look down. Look up to
view and contemplate Him. Cross your gaze with his and say the Fatima
Prayer."
"This is the miracle of miracles. Time and space do not exist for the
Lord, and at the moment of consecration all the assembly is taken to the
foot of calvary at the instant of crucifixion of Jesus."
At the moment of the celebrant's communion
"This is the moment to pray for the celebrant and the priests who
accompany him. Repeat along with me," Lord, bless them, sanctify them,
help them, purify them, love them, take care of them and sustain them
with your love..... Remember all the priests in the world. Pray for all
consecrated souls......"
Words of Jesus during "The Holy Mass"
When we were about to pray the Our Father, the Lord spoke for the
first time during the celebration.
"........ At this moment I want you to bring to mind that person or
persons who have done you the most harm during your life, so that you
may embrace them close to your bosom and say 'In the name of Jesus I
forgive you and wish you peace."
"I instituted the Holy Eucharist. I wanted to remain with you until
the end of time." "I have died for love and I am risen. For love I await
each one of you....... but you do not realize that I need your love."
At Communion
"Wait a moment, I want you to observe something." (Catalina says when
the priest placed the sacred host on the tongue of a lady, something
like a flash of light went right through that lady).
The Lord said, "This is how I am pleased to embrace a soul who comes
with a clean heart to receive me!"
After communion
(The Lord made Catalina listen to a lady who had just returned to her
seat after communion. She was asking the Lord for a whole load of
favours for her family).
Jesus said in a sad tone, "Did you notice, not once did she tell me
that she love me.
Not once did she say, "Thank you Lord." It has been a litany of
requests.......almost all of those who come to receive me are like
that."
At the end of the mass
"Do not run away as soon as mass is over, stay a moment in my
company. Enjoy it and let me enjoy yours.
You should exceed the Angels and Archangels in virtue because they do
not have the joy of receiving me as nourishment as you do."
Catalina adds....... "The next time you go to holy mass, live it.
I know that the Lord will fulfil for you his promise that, "your mass
will never again be the same as before."
I endorse, "My mass has not been the same since August 08, 2010, the
day on which I read this booklet."
