Monkey menace in Kataragama

The residents are highly inconvenienced due to the monkey menace at Kataragama.

Most people in Kataragama area have cultivated mangoes, coconut and several fruits in their gardens. But due to monkeys who invade these gardens they cannot protect their crops.

Most of these residents depend on their fruit cultivation specially on mangoes, selling them by the keeping fruits at wayside. These residents have informed the Wild Life office at Kataragama several times yet no solution has been found to this problem.
