ACCA Sri Lanka elects new President
ACCA's annual general meeting (AGM) was held on September 24 at the
Cinnamon Grand Colombo. The new president for this year Nisreen
Rehmanjee was elected.

Rehmanjee has over 15 years experience in taxation dealing with both
national and international taxation. This includes a career spanning 10
years with KPMG, the last four of which were served as Tax Director.
Presently, she heads the tax function of the John Keells Group as
Vice President and Tax Group Head.
She is also a recipient of the Chairman's award for outstanding
performance within the John Keells Group in 2008/09.
"I'm truly honoured to be appointed as the president of ACCA - Sri
Lanka for 2010/11 and to have such an excellent committee appointed
alongside me.
"I believe, the ACCA qualification and the access to the vast pool of
information and knowledge that I have as a member has been the
differentiator that has allowed me to achieve what I have today.
"I encourage our members and students to also make maximum use of
this knowledge base, I believe that it has more value when shared and
look forward to working with other professional bodies/institutes in Sri
Lanka for the betterment of the finance professional at large,"
Rehamanjee said.
Horana Plantation PLC Managing Director/CEO Rajiv Cassie Chitty was
elected as Vice President and other members of the committee for this
