House thief apprehended

A suspect involved in a recent robbery of a mobile phone, Jewellery and cash valued at Rs 50,000 from two houses in Pattiyagama and Kanampella was arrested by Pugoda Police who also recovered all the stolen goods.

The suspect from Pugoda was produced before Pugoda Magistrate and Additional District Judge Aravinda Perera and remanded till October 06.

The Police team which made this arrest were led by OIC Pugoda Police IP, Nilanga, OIC Crimes Indika Wickramasinghe, Sergeant Sudharshana (53173) and Sergeant Liyanarachchi (32766).
