TIE delegation visit:
Business meetings successful

The business meetings between Sri Lankan entrepreneurs and the
delegation, The Indus Entrepreneurs (TIE) from Kerala ended with many
positive responses which will benefit development of entrepreneurs in
both countries.
Speaking to Daily News Business Federation of Chambers of Commerce
Director Ranjani Tudugala said that there is a high demand for tourism
and related activities.
Majority of the 49 business people were keen in investing in this
sector which is a positive sign for the future, she said.
The objective of this business meeting was to explore newly
identified markets in the North and East region. The delegation is
interested in establishing business links for investment, joint
ventures, strategic alliances, with the industry leaders of several
sectors such as agricultural, food processing, tourism and hospitality,
IT, Ayurveda and healthcare ,manufacturing medical and pharmaceutical
items,transportation,floriculture,textile,garments,education,construction
and entrepreneurship development training.
This event was organized by the FCCISL in collaboration with the
Board of Investment and KPMG.
The TIE is a non profit entity comprising major entrepreneurs and
senior professionals and corporate executives. The current portfolio
consists of over 12,000 members over 55 countries.
This mission is to foster entrepreneurship and nurturing its next
generation of entrepreneurs. |
