World Indigenous People's Day:
National ceremony at Dambana

The National Ceremony of the World Indigenous People's Day will be
held under the patronage of National Heritage and Cultural Affairs
Minister Pavitra Wanniarachchi and Uva Provincial Council Chief Minister
Shashendra Rajapaksa, at Mahiyangana, Dambana, Janauruma Center on
September 25.
The National Program will be organized by the Public Relations Unit
of the Presidential Secretarial.
It will be conducted by National Heritage and Cultural affairs
Ministry and Uva Provincial Council and held with the collaboration of
30 Ministries. It will also hold a Cultural Show of Indigenous People
under the guidance of their leader Uruwarige Wannileththo.
An exhibition will also be held under the sponsorship of Ministries.
A medical clinic will also be conducted to coincide with this
program. |
