Folklore preservation library opened today

A folklore preservation library will be opened today at the Kalabawana premises for the preservation of Sri Lanka's ancient heritage and safeguarding of traditional culture and folklore with the assistance of Norwegian Republic. Cultural Heritage Minister Pavitra Wanniarachchi and Sri Lanka's Norwegian Ambassador will be the Chief Guests.

Cultural Heritage Deputy Minister Gunarathna Weerakoon, Secretary Wimal Rubasingha and eminent artistes will also attend. The cultural Heritage Ministry will establish this folklore library as a special project to hand over the traditional culture and its affiliated values and norms to the present day generation.
