Kingswood overall champions

Kingswood College Kandy with a total of 20 points emerged overall champions at the All Island National Schools Games and 93rd Stubbs Shield boxing tournament which was worked off at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium in Colombo recently.

Peradeniya MMV were the runners up with 18 points and Vidyarathna MMV took the third place with a tally of 16 points. They were followed by Vidyartha College Kandy (14), St. Sylvester's College Kandy (13) and Wickremashila MMV (10)

Meanwhile D. Samaparamadu of Wickremashila MMV and L. U. Liyanage of Peradeniya Central were selected as the senior best boxer and junior best boxer respectively. S. Warnasuriya from Vidyartha College Kandy and P. Samarasinghe of Vidyarathana MMV, Horana were named senior best loser and junior best loser respectively.

In addition M. Dassanayake of Ganthalawa MMV, Kantale was picked as the best boxer among the most recently affiliated schools with the Sri Lanka Schools Boxing Association.
