Gampaha District SLSA emerge champs

The Gampaha District Swimming and Life Saving Association team emerged champions at the Biyagama Swimming, Diving and Life-saving Association organized 2010 year Provincial Swimming meet at Gampaha Nawaloka Swimming pool recently.

306 B02 Lions District Vice Governor Jayantha Gunawardhana was the chief guest.

Biyagama Lions Club President Dr H P G G de Alwis, Lions District Presidents Nimal Senadeera, Hema Kumara Gunasekara and Kaluthota Insurance Company Director (Mrs) Mallika Akuretiya were also present.

This meet was sponsored by Biyagama Lions Club, Gampaha Singer Mega, Gampaha Jayantha Auto Electricals, Gampaha Seovl Hotel and custom officer W Ariyaratne.


Results - Winners

Schoolboys: Negombo Maris Stella College.

Girls: Kiribathgoda Vihara Maha Devi Balika Vidyalaya.

Mixed Schools: Sapugaskanda Yashida Shokanji International School.

Champion Swimmers

Under 10 Boys: Tharaka Sirimanna (Gampaha District Swimming and Life-saving Association).

Girls: J A Dahami Divyani and Sandali Anjalika de Zoysa (Dolpin Swimming Club).

Under 12 Boys: Prethiviraj Kalyana Sundaram (Dolpin Swimming Club)

Girls: H M Sanduni Hansika Bandara (Gampaha District Swimming and Life-saving Association) and J A Promodi Malshika Thilakaratne (Gampaha Yosodara Devi Balika Maha Vidyalaya).

Under 14 Boys: Pasidu Dilshan Sirimanna (Gampaha District Swimming and Life-saving Association).

Girls: B G G K Sylvester (Gampaha District Swimming and Life-saving Association) and M A I Uthpala (Wattala Lyceum International School).

Under 16 Boys: L U Lasitha Abeyratne (Gampaha District Swimming and Life-saving Association) and Dilshan Jayawickrama (Wattala Lyceum International School).

Girls: Sandali Lakmali Jayawardhana (Kiribathgoda Vihara Maha Devi Balika Vidyalaya).

Under 19 Boys: Dilanka Jayakody (Negombo Maris Stella College) and Sulanjana Nadira Perera (Gampaha District Swimming and Life-saving Association).

Girls: Isola Fernando (Je-Da-Su-Mo-Swimming and Life-saving Association)

Over 19 Boys: W R K K Krishantha (Ampara Swimming Club)

Girls: Madushika Dilhani (Gampaha District Swimming and Life-saving Association). Thirty eight schools and clubs participated. The event was organized by Senior Swimming Instructor W Thilak Ratna Kumara.
