China sweeps home Super Series

Former world number one Lin Dan led a Chinese clean-sweep at the China Masters Super Series on Sunday, beating countryman Chen Long in three sets for the men's singles title.

Just weeks after China won all five titles at the world championships in Paris for only the second time in the history of the game, their shuttlers once again proved too hot to handle. Lin, the left-hander regarded as the greatest badminton player ever, made amends for his limp showing at the worlds by beating Chen 21-15, 13-21, 21-14.

In a tournament that signalled the world number five is returning to form ahead of the Asian Games in Guangzhou in November, he also took the scalp of the man who beat him in Paris, South Korea's Park Sung-Hwan.

World number two Wang Xin, who was runner-up at the world championships, clinched the women's crown, beating Denmark's Tine Baun in comfortable fashion, 21-13, 21-19.
