Priyantha ties up with Butterfly

Former national champion, captain, and national team coach Lalith Priyantha has once again tied up with his old friend and his former sponsor Butterfly Company in Japan.

Lalith Priyantha was able to regain his sponsorship with Butterfly mainly due to his good performances in the recent past. Priyantha received his new sponsorship package when he met the new President of Tamatsu Company Yamada at the 2010 World Table Tennis Championships in Russia. Priyantha is the one and only player who was fortunate to had a training course in Japan following his remarkable performances at the Asia Cup tournament in Pakistan in 1986.

Priyantha won his very first National title after the successful training he received from Butterfly under the supervision of two World champions namely Nobihiko Hasagawa and S. Itoh.

In addition to his playing he has served the local sports field as a President, National Selector and as the Coordinator for Media and International Affairs.
