Sanasa Development Bank Ltd (SDBL), in their role as a Supporting
Partner will co-ordinate the activities related to all the field visits
of the delegates who will attend the conference to visit micro
enterprise projects in the rural areas. These field visits will give
them exposure on the successful micro entrepreneurs in Sri Lanka
financed by banks and microfinance institutions to showcase their
success stories and learning opportunities to overseas delegates.
Sanasa Development Bank will co-ordinate field visits in the North
and the Central provinces of the country.
Sanasa Development Bank Ltd (SDBL) is a licensed specialized Bank,
which operates as the apex financial institution of the SANASA movement
- the largest co-operative network in the country, with the objective of
catering to the funding needs of the rural community.
The bank provides micro-financing, leasing, housing loans and project
financing, primarily to the low-income segment of the economy, which
usually lies outside the risk parameters of commercial banks.
AMF 2010 will be held from October 12-15 and will bring in the whole
of Asia as well as from other parts of the world over 550 delegates,
among them leading practitioners, investors, policy makers and other
capacity builders. The conference will showcase the future direction of
the microfinance industry in Asia.
Among the participating institutions are Central Banks, commercial
banks, specialized banks and leading microfinance institutions, which
are expected to be involved in this conference. |
