Antonian girls rout Gothami Balika - 6/0

St. Anthony’s Girls College, Kandy playing fast and constructive hockey swamped Gothami Balika Vidyalaya by the big margin of 6 goals to nil in their Kandy Schools Girls under 17 hockey tournament match organized by the Kandy District Schools Hockey Association and played at the University grounds, Peradeniya. At the breather Antonian Girls led 2-0.

The winners gave such an inspired display that almost all their forwards showed good form with the stick and they succeeded in sounding the boards.

Their power play proved to be too much for their opponents who succumbed under pressure.

Sounding the boards for the winners were Nayomi Senamithra (1), Kalpani Dassanayake (1), Ruwini Girambe (1), Malka Dayaratne (1), Nadeesha Kumari (1), Harshani Kumarasiri (1).
