President visits Parliament

President Mahinda Rajapaksa visited the Parliament complex in Kotte yesterday when the House met to debate the extension of the state of Emergency yesterday. The President was at his office in the Parliament complex listening to the Emergency debate.

After the House adjourned for the day the President visited the members lunch room and spoke to the Government and Opposition Parliamentarians, a press release of the President’s media stated.

Parliament meets again after the General Elections on April 22.
