Musaeus scullers show their class

Vinuri Wickramasekera in action

Musaeus College has been in the forefront of rowing for over a decade. It has produced skilled oarswomen especially in the single sculls event.

To name a few are the Gunawardene sisters, Minoli and Mithila, Uvini Atapattu, Sachitra Jayathilaka and the oarswoman of the year for 2008,2009- Swarnamali Wijesinghe. The single sculls event requires a perfect technique to balance the rowing boat.

At the recently concluded Inaugural Regatta conducted by the Colombo Rowing Club, Swarnamali Wijesinghe and Vinuri Wickramasekera showed their skills by winning both the sculling events, The Head of the Beira rowing meet and The Ladies Novice Sculls event respectively.
