SLIIT partners Virtusa

The 'Virtusa head start' program, launched in Sri Lanka acts as the perfect platform giving the pool of IT potential in the country the head start they need to make it big in an ever evolving, ever developing, ever growing IT world.

The reputed global IT services company with Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT) introduced this program with the intention of boosting the quality of the Software Testing educational experience and maximise student potential within the IT sector. The program has been initiated as a means of backward integrating into the institutes with the aim of developing a budding talent pool for the IT industry.

The program offers the 'Certified Software Quality Assurance Associate' course to provide a head start for students who wish to pursue a career in Software Test Engineering. Upon completion of the course, students qualify for a two-month internship at Virtusa, enabling them to gather valuable experience in relation to technologies, methods and tools used in the enterprises.

Virtusa Software Engineering Head Chandana Ranasinghe said "We have been working very closely with SLIIT in building capacity for test engineering over the past few years. We consider Virtusa head start to be a milestone of our relationship, as Virtusa has moved one step closer to creating a path that enhances the employability of graduates".
