SLT launches corporate vision, mission and values
Sri Lanka Telecom, launched its new corporate vision, mission and
values. The launch ceremony took place recently at the company
headquarters.
With the ultimate goal of becoming a more market driven customer
centric organization, the company embarked on a company-wide
"Transformation" program last year.
The launch of the new vision, mission and values is one of the first
steps to implementing this transformation program, setting the new
direction for the company and further empowering and motivating
employees to transform along with the company.
The new vision of the company is, "All Sri Lankans seamlessly
connected with world class information, communication and entertainment
services".
Sri Lanka Telecom has already embraced the possibilities that new
technologies offer, and the challenges of making these technologies
accessible to the widest consumer base possible.
The company's new Mission is "Your trusted and proven partner for
innovative and exciting communication experiences delivered with
passion, 'quality and commitment'.
Steps towards this is already underway as the company is transforming
its traditional network to a Next Generation Network (NGN). Sri Lanka
Telecom has also made a considerable investment in broadband technology,
offering a wide variety of broadband packages to suit the varying needs
of different consumer groups.
The company values are, Customer Caring, Trustworthy, Innovative,
Responsive, Teamwork, Excellence, Results Driven. These values spell out
the new culture and philosophy of Sri Lanka Telecom, touching the way
the Company operates and works throughout the organization.
These new vision, mission and values direct Sri Lanka Telecom
future's steps into establishing itself not only in the communications
sector, but also in the information as well as entertainment sectors,
which are increasingly being converged day by day.
With this transformation program, the company expects to see a
noticeable change throughout the organization - including the
organization culture, attitudes and perceptions of employees as well as
the work environment. |
