Easy for Cambrians

Prince of Wales College, Moratuwa beat St. Thomas' College, Matale by six wickets in their inter-school Under-19 limited overs cricket tournament match organized by SLSCA for the Munchee Trophy.

Visitors batting first were all out for 117 runs with Ruwantha Thennepotha scoring 29 runs while Malshan Mendis and Buddhika de Alwis captured 3 for 36 and 3 for 8 respectively. In reply Cambrians notched up the required runs for the loss of four wickets with Nipun Chamara making 34 runs. Chief scores:

St. Thomas', Matale: 117 in 34.3 overs (Ruwantha Thennepotha 29, Malshan Mendis 3/36, Buddhika de Alwis 3/8).

Prince of Wales: 118/4 in 28.4 overs (Nipun Chamara 34, Tharindu Dilshan 23 n.o, Nuwantha Peiris 19, Ruwantha Tennepotha 2/33).
