Cambrians edge out Sebastianites

Prince of Wales College beat St. Sebastian’s College by one wicket in their inter-school limited overs Silver Jubilee cricket match played for the Old Boys Challenge Trophy at De Zoysa Stadium, Moratuwa. Sebastianites batting first were 158 for 8 in their allotted 50 overs with Sanitha de Mel top scoring with 38 including three fours. Viroshana Alwis and Dushan Dias contributed 34 and 31 respectively.

Buddhika de Alwis bagged 3 for 38 for Cambrians. In reply Cambrians scored 159 for 9 with six overs to spare. Isuru Thilina scored a magnificent 63 runs including six fours. Amila Aponso was the pick of the bowlers for Sebastianites with 3 for 29. Now the tally stands at Cambrians 12 Sebs 11 and two no decisions.
