Serving the place of birth, her aim

Galle district UPFA candidate and popular actress Geetha Kumarasinghe said, she entered politics to serve her place of birth. She also said “I have nothing else to earn by doing politics.

Addressing an election propaganda meeting at Imaduwa, Kumarasinghe said that the country is heading for a prosperous future under the leadership of President Mahinda Rajapaksa and added time is ripe for everybody to strengthen the hands of the President at this important juncture.

Therefore, “I decided to enter into politics,” she said.
